Credendo Vides
This beautifully crafted fairy-tale has inspired me
in my faith and in my teaching.
After the tragic loss of his wife and the seemingly imminent demise of his Myths and Legends lectures at university, Professor Algernon Aisling struggles to hang on to his faith.
Born out of a wish to board a ship and sail away into the "tides of inspiration" the professor and his two daughters are whisked away on a magical adventure through myth and legend.
While on H.M.S. Basset, an enchanted ship directed by the mysterious wunterlabe, the Professor, Cassandra and Miranda encounter magical and mythical creatures that change their lives forever.
The Basset's motto, Credendo Vides, is Latin for "By believing, one sees."
As Professor Aisling rediscovers his passion through a journey of imagination, so too do I embark on a continuous journey of reigniting my passion for teaching and learning.
Because I believe it, I will see it.
